Who is Carrie Doll?
Carrie graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree (BKin,Hons) in 2011. She then became a Registered Kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario in 2013.
Carrie’s background in gymnastics coaching, physical conditioning and rehab combined with a knowledge of Kinesiology, have assisted her to see opportunities for corrective treatments to enhance movement and performance.
Her positive outlook and attitude creates an environment of success. She loves to help clients to progress and reach for their own potential.
Growing up in Elmira…
Raised in Elmira, being a part of the community has always been important to Carrie. She started participating in gymnastics at 2 years old and transitioned from gymnast to coach at the Woolwich Gymnastics Club as a teen.
She has coached gymnasts from the Parent and Tot programs all the way to the developmental and competitive stream. By coaching youth, she has developed an appreciation for the joy of movement. With competitive gymnasts Carrie was able to see the details of a movement and its impact on ability to do a skill.
Starting her career as a physiotherapy assistant in long-term care, allowed Carrie to work with residents with progressed diseases. It also helped her to learn various nursing and physical managements of these aliments. She then takes these experiences and lessons with her to every client to help them improve their abilities and quality of life.
Carrie enjoys learning new skills and acquiring new knowledge. Regularly taking courses and reading material that intrigues her.
To keep herself moving, Carrie partakes in mud and obstacle runs, slo-pitch, volleyball and yoga. She likes to try activities off the beaten path like bubble soccer, archery tag, axe throwing, rock climbing and the Plunger Plop.
