When you arrive...
Our team will greet you with a smile and have you fill out some paperwork in our comfortable reception area for yourself or your child. Enjoy some refreshing water while your Doctor reviews your completed forms. Our team will then take you on a tour of the office and your visit will begin in our consultation room. Our Technical Assistants, Alyssa or Jessica, will listen to your story to find out what brought you into our office. Within a few minutes, you will meet the Doctor who will finish the consultation.
If the Doctor determines you are a candidate for our NeuroSpinal Examination, the doctor will begin the process with help from our Technical Assistant. It is important to know that all of our tests are non-invasive and very comfortable. The purpose of the examination is to analyze for structural distortions in your spine that result in nerve interference.
There are 6 steps to our neurospinal assessment:
1. Digital structural analysis
This hands-on analysis allows the doctor to evaluate the movement and position of each of your individual spinal vertebrae.
2. Posture Analysis
This computerized test measures how your spinal health is affecting your posture letting us know how your body is holding stress.
3. Balance & Proprioceptive testing
These tests measure how well you are balancing and if you are getting the proper information from your body up to your brain.
4. Surface Electromyography
This computerized test measures how your motor nerves (the nerves that control your muscles) are functioning.
5. Infrared Thermal Scanning
This computerized test measures how your autonomic nerves (the nerves that control your organs and systems) are functioning.
6. Heart Rate Variability
This computerized test measures how well your body is adapting to all of the physical, chemical and emotional stresses in your life.
Also, if x-rays are necessary, we will send you to the appropriate place to have them taken.
We will review all of your results and come up with specific recommendations for you that include:
- If we can help you or what options you have
- How long it will take
- What it will cost
Follow up visit:
Once the doctor has had a chance to sit down and study your test results, they will have you back for your “Report of Findings,” during which you will receive a detailed description of your current health situation, as well as a thorough package of information specifically tailored for you. If after going over the findings you decide that you would like to begin care, you will receive your first adjustment on this visit.
The first part of this visit is designed to educate you about how the human body gets well and stays well. It includes a thorough explanation of health and wellness, new scientific research, general x-ray findings, and more. Anyone who was a new patient in the same week as you will be present for this portion of the visit. Rest assured that no personal information is dealt with during this portion of your report.
The second part of this visit includes your specific findings. You will see your test results, including x-rays (if taken). You will understand these results based on what you learned in the first half of your visit.
It is at this point that the doctor will give you more details about your case, what can be done to improve it, how long it will take, and how much it would cost. We answer all of your questions before starting your adjustment schedule.
Once all of your questions are answered and you and your Doctor come to an agreement on your unique plan of action, your care can start right away.
